About Chants of Sennaar

Chants of Sennaar builds its adventure around the joy of decipherment, drawing on the myth of Babel to imagine a world where the Peoples of the Tower have been divided since the dawn of time and can no longer speak to one another. Legend holds that a Traveler will one day find the wisdom to break down those walls and restore the Balance, and that role falls to you.

The journey takes place in a colourful, poetic setting where humanity has forgotten its own past. You climb the endless steps of a prodigious labyrinth, piecing together an ominous truth as you go and unveiling the mysteries of a fascinating universe in which ancient languages serve as both the lock and the key to progress.

Much of the play revolves around observation and cleverness. You study your environment and solve puzzles to unravel the secrets around you, while using stealth and cunning to outwit the Guardians and slip across forbidden zones. Above all, you translate the ancient tongues themselves, gradually restoring the lost connections between the Peoples of the Tower. Wrapped in a strong narrative and striking art, this indie adventure gives PC players a quietly brilliant puzzle of language and discovery.
