About Captain of Industry

Captain of Industry poster

Captain of Industry strands you on an abandoned island with nothing but a small, loyal crew, and survival quickly becomes an exercise in ambitious engineering. To stay afloat you mine raw materials, grow food, raise factories, manufacture goods, build vehicles, research technology, explore the surroundings, and trade with neighbouring islands. Play your cards right and a humble settlement can swell into an industrial superpower, eventually reaching for the stars with its own space program, though nothing about the climb is easy.

Manufacturing is where the depth lies. You start simple, smelting iron, mixing concrete, and growing crops, before branching into crude oil processing, electronics, solar panels, data centers, and even rockets, with more than 150 unique products to discover along the way. Keeping all of it flowing is a logistics puzzle in itself, as trucks automatically ferry goods where they are needed while you fine-tune fleets and routes to stay efficient.

For heavier throughput, conveyor belts and pipes relieve the strain on road transport, supporting vertical stacking and auto-pathing for painless placement, with balancers and sorters helping you set priorities and organise assembly lines. Blending simulation and strategy, this indie title gives PC players a meaty, systems-driven factory builder with a genuine sense of progression.
