About Call to Arms

Call to Arms poster

Call to Arms blends real-time strategy with direct third and first person control, dropping you into the thick of modern warfare. Realistically modelled vehicles and heavy weaponry sit alongside dozens of firearms and customisation options, and at any moment you can shift from commanding an army to fighting on the ground yourself.

As a strategy game, it hands you command of several dozen units at once. You position squads in cover, flank the enemy, and support allies as you press toward each objective, planting claymores, fortifying FOBs, or setting up mortar positions along the way, with a near-endless range of tactical options at your disposal. The battlefields span rural areas, factories, railway stations, and towns, and since cover is everywhere and almost everything is destructible, the environment itself becomes a weapon.

When you want to get closer to the action, you can take direct control of any individual soldier in third or first person, or climb into one of your vehicles to join intense tank warfare, choosing details right down to the type of ammunition loaded. Solo missions and competitive online combat backed by Steamworks give PC players plenty of ways to test these ideas, whether they favour big-picture command or hands-on shooting.
