About Call of the Wild: The Angler™

Call of the Wild: The Angler™ poster

From the studio behind theHunter: Call of the Wild comes Call of the Wild: The Angler, a fishing game that refuses to sit neatly in one genre. It hands you a vast, atmospheric open world and simply invites you to find the perfect spot, whether you head out alone or bring friends along for the ride toward becoming a master angler.

The world is the real star. Its scenery stretches across winding rivers, alpine peaks, turquoise springs, hidden ponds, and epic hiking trails, all traversable on foot, by off-road vehicle, or by boat across a sprawling network of waterways. You can drift past outposts and lookout towers for a relaxing night on the lake or beat the sunrise chasing one elusive catch, always moving at your own unhurried pace.

The fishing itself runs deep. An intuitive casting system keeps things immersive as you square off against species like the fierce Largemouth Bass or the hard-fighting Mountain Whitefish, each with its own behaviour and traits that you must read and counter while reeling them in. A simulation layer factoring in water temperature, depth, and altitude decides where fish actually gather, so every catch feels earned. On PC, it is a laid-back yet rewarding open-world adventure for anglers.
