Breathedge is a survival adventure with a wickedly ironic streak, set adrift in deep space. You take on the role of an ordinary bloke known only as the Man, who was simply ferrying his grandpa's ashes to a galactic funeral before a wreck strands him amid a universal conspiracy. As an action-adventure survival sim for PC, it wraps its challenges in a steady stream of dark comedy.
Staying alive is genuinely tough, and the game delights in the many ways you might not manage it, from suffocation and freezing to incineration, electrocution and even sheer depression. A massive space hearse has come apart around you, littering the void with debris, coffins and dead passengers, and it's here you have to survive while slowly untangling a global plot and, naturally, saving a princess.
Crafting is both survival tool and running joke. With your trusty electrical tape you can churn out a heap of useless objects to fling out of the airlock, or build genuinely useful gear, though be warned that some creations may actually finish the game. There's also plenty of fixing and decorating to do while your fellow passengers float about doing nothing but playing dead.
