About Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced

Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced poster

This is where the whole shoot-and-loot craze began. Borderlands Game of the Year Enhanced revisits the original co-op looter-shooter, now packed with extra content and a fresh coat of polish. You pick one of four trigger-happy mercenaries, each with their own RPG skills, and set out across the lawless planet Pandora in search of the legendary alien Vault. As an FPS-RPG hybrid for PC, it plays as happily solo as it does with a full crew.

The series' hallmarks are all here: bazillions of guns, from rocket-launching shotguns to enemy-torching revolvers and SMGs that spit lightning, plus the game's iconic art style, which blends traditional rendering with hand-drawn textures. Vehicular combat lets up to four players tear through the wastes, and the Enhanced release sharpens character models, environments, weapons and textures, looking especially crisp in 4K, while adding new weapons, character heads, gold chests and keys.

Crucially, all four add-on packs come bundled in. That means detours like The Zombie Island of Doctor Ned, where you investigate rumours of the walking undead in Jakobs Cove, and Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, expanding an already content-rich package.
