Borderlands 2 kicks off a new chapter of shoot-and-loot mayhem, sending four fresh Vault Hunters into a wild planet crawling with creatures, psychos and a smug villain named Handsome Jack. This action FPS with RPG bones is built around a relentless quest for revenge and redemption across an unpredictable, living world, playable solo or with friends on PC.
The four new classes give the game its texture. Among them is the Gunzerker, whose signature skill lets him dual-wield any two weapons in the game, be that twin machine guns, paired rocket launchers or double sniper rifles, while more tactical classes like the Siren, Commando and Assassin cater to other playstyles. Each comes with its own skill tree to grow into.
Co-op is a highlight. A seamless drop-in, drop-out system lets you share the campaign online or over LAN without ever restarting, and you can carry your hard-won gear from one game into any other. Wrapped around it all is a world-connected story that opens with you left for dead in Pandora's frozen tundra, beginning a hunt for both payback and the loot to make it happen.
