In the Old World, warfare has been swapped for something arguably just as violent: a sacred sport dedicated to the god Nuffle. Blood Bowl 3 turns that premise into a turn-based strategy game for PC where murder, sorcery, bribery and the occasional divine meddling are all part of a normal afternoon on the pitch. Fans in the stands wouldn't have it any other way.
At its core this is a game about smart positioning. You take command of a squad drawn from twelve distinct races, each with its own traits, and try to muscle, dodge or flatten your way to the end zone for a match-winning touchdown. Careful planning usually pays off, though chaos is never far away: a hungry troll might devour one of your own players and swing the whole game in an instant.
Running the team goes beyond the field. You recruit and customize players, tweak their armour and emblems, sign on cheerleaders and a coach, then throw them into the Old World's roughest competitions. Injuries are routine, and some careers end for good when a promising star gets stretchered off in a body bag.
