Blazing Sails is a pirate action game built for crews, offering several distinct game modes to plunder your way through. In Treasure Hunt, you and your crew scour islands for chests, then cash them in at one of two central outposts for gold, with the richest crew claiming victory. Its Battle Royale puts a fresh spin on the genre by mixing swashbuckling on dry land with epic naval clashes, and the Galleon Conquest mode stages movie-like broadside battles aboard a massive galleon, where you frag pirates, sink ships, and capture flags.

Crucially, being a pirate here demands teamwork. Alongside your fellow crew members you must steer, repair, and resupply your ship while besieging rival crews, making communication and cooperation essential to any win. Everyone genuinely plays a part in keeping the vessel afloat and dangerous.

Ship choice shapes your approach on PC. The Brigantine is the sturdy classic with a tough hull and serious firepower, the Junk Ship is smaller and faster with a front-facing cannon built for daring head-on charges, and the Bomb Vessel excels at long range thanks to its unique mortar. Smaller crews can take the two-player Sloop, whose modest size hides real capability.
