Bladesong is set in a broken world where the Songs have fallen silent and madness and despair have taken hold, yet life clings on within the high walls of Eren Keep, one of civilization's last strongholds, held together by iron will and the harsh rule of the Masked King. As the keep's swordsmith, you turn steel into something more precious than gold, meeting customers who arrive with coin in hand and specific demands on their lips, seeking blades prized for deadly precision, balance, and beauty.
The heart of this indie RPG and simulation lies in crafting. You shape swords your way through freeform blade forming and an intricate modular building system, creating weapons drawn from any tradition, East or West, history or fantasy, with every detail customized from a vast library of parts, engravings, and materials like metal, leather, wood, obsidian, and ivory. No two creations come out alike.
Progression comes through commissions from warriors, nobles, and mercenaries, whose particular needs push you to balance damage against parry rating and more. Meanwhile, whispers of rebellion stir in the shadows of Eren Keep, and the former blacksmith's mysterious disappearance hangs over your role, hinting that on PC the right blade in the right hand could change everything.
