About Black Skylands

Black Skylands bills itself as the first steampunk experience to weave together open-world exploration, sandbox freedom, top-down shooting, and action-adventure design. You step into the boots of Eva, a capable and courageous young marshal fighting to shield her people from the invading Falcons and the Swarm. Taking command of your own airship, you set off across a world of endless skies, gathering resources to craft weapons, upgrade your vessel, and unearth ancient secrets while battling beneath your sails.

A looming threat rises from the depths of the unknown sky, and Eva ventures forth to expose the mysteries hidden within the dark clouds. Combat plays out on two fronts, in the air and on the ground, using an array of upgradable weapons to overpower your foes wherever they appear.

The open world rewards curiosity on PC, spanning forests, farms, and snowy landscapes as you uncover the skies' unseen wonders. You choose an airship that fits your style, from a maneuverable sloop to a spacious barge or something between, and you upgrade both weapons and ship to unleash devastating firepower. Along the way you liberate and restore the floating islands of Aspya, defending their inhabitants against the threats still to come.
