About Black Mesa

Black Mesa places you in the shoes of Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist working at the Black Mesa Research Facility when a routine experiment spirals catastrophically out of control. What should have been an ordinary day tears open a doorway to disaster, and suddenly survival is the only thing that matters as the facility descends into chaos around you.

From there the game becomes a desperate fight on two fronts. An interdimensional alien invasion pours through the breach, while a ruthless military clean-up crew arrives with orders that put you squarely in their sights. Caught between otherworldly creatures and human soldiers determined to erase every trace of what happened, you must push forward through relentless danger.

As a blend of action, adventure, first-person shooter, and indie sensibilities, this PC game asks you to carve a path through overwhelming odds to rescue the science team and, ultimately, save the world.
