About Battle Chasers: Nightwar

Battle Chasers: Nightwar is an indie RPG that wears its love of classic console adventures openly. It leans into turn-based combat presented in the familiar JRPG mold, layered with a distinctive overcharge mana mechanic and flashy Battle Bursts that reward smart resource play. The story pulls you outward, driven by exploration rather than corridors, and it draws on the world of the cult 1990s comic series that shares its name.

Dungeon-crawling sits at the heart of the PC experience. Each dungeon is randomly generated and packed with traps, puzzles, hidden secrets, and loot, and every hero brings their own dungeon skills to help you survive what waits inside. The overworld rewards curiosity too, hiding extra dungeons, rare bosses, and unexpected encounters with allies and enemies alike.

You assemble your party from three of six heroes lifted straight from the comic, each with distinct abilities, perks, and gear. A deep crafting system rounds things out, using an ingredient-overloading approach that lets you forge genuinely powerful items as you push deeper.
