Batman: Arkham Asylum Game of the Year Edition brings back the critically acclaimed action-adventure in remastered form, adding four extra Challenge Maps: Crime Alley, Scarecrow Nightmare, Totally Insane and Nocturnal Hunter, the latter two from the Insane Night Map Pack. It remains a definitive vision of stepping into the cape and cowl.

Combat runs on the unique FreeFlow system, letting you chain seamless, unlimited combos as you tear through huge groups of the Joker's henchmen in brutal melee brawls. Away from the fighting, you play the World's Greatest Detective, cracking intricate puzzles with cutting-edge forensic tools such as x-ray scanning, fingerprint analysis, Amido Black spray and a pheromone tracker. You can also become the Invisible Predator, using fear takedowns and a vantage-point system to move unseen, hunt enemies, and strike by swooping from above or smashing through walls.

The island itself is yours to explore in full, presented in its gritty, realistic entirety for the first time, and you'll face Gotham's greatest villains, including the Joker, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and Killer Croc. Batman's gadgets, from Batarangs and explosive gel to the Batclaw and line launcher, round out the fantasy, while hidden challenges unlock secrets and let you develop and customise your equipment. On PC, it's a landmark superhero game.
