Barony throws you into the domain of the vile lich Baron Herx, whose curse has all but destroyed the town of Hamlet, leaving daring adventurers as the people's last hope. This action RPG demands resourcefulness, wit and constant vigilance as you descend into devious dungeons packed with vicious monsters and lethal traps, though legendary treasures, magical artifacts, spells and equipment await those bold enough to claim them.

The dungeons pull no punches. With perma-death, cryptic layouts and no handholding, every corner may hide a fatal surprise, and a fresh dungeon awaits each time you play. Deep RPG systems reward players who dig into the loot and stats, encouraging you to analyse and synergise a huge array of weapons, equipment, lore, spells and legendary artifacts as you go.

Variety runs throughout, with 13 classes ranging from the familiar warrior, wizard and rogue to more unusual sexton, joker and arcanist roles. Cooperative play supports 1 to 4 players via split-screen, wireless and internet including crossplay, and even death isn't the end, since you can return as a ghost to haunt or help your party.
