Bang-on Balls: Chronicles delivers glorious, bouncy 3D platforming and combat with a clear affection for genre legends, from Italian plumbers to blue hedgehogs and wild bandicoots. You become BOB, a reckless bouncy hero rolling headlong into epic adventures and cheerful chaos across a series of open worlds.
Exploration and destruction go hand in hand. You roll into packed environments and smash them to pieces as you go, taking on adversaries and boss fights, tackling challenges and unearthing hidden secrets at your own pace. The worlds themselves are drawn from (slightly inaccurate) historical themes, each with unique mechanics, items and enemies, spanning the Vikings, the Age of Pirates, Feudal Japan and the Space Race, and you can hop between them freely while carrying your progress along.
Multiplayer is generous, supporting solo play, two-player split screen, and online co-op for up to four, with drop-in, drop-out sessions that let you keep whatever items and weapons you've gathered. Character customisation runs deep too, built entirely around gear collected through play, with no cosmetic paid DLC. As an action-adventure with casual, indie energy, this PC platformer is all about bouncing through history and breaking everything in reach.
