AWAY: The Survival Series follows a young sugar glider on a heartfelt journey to save his family, carrying you across expansive environments teeming with life while dangers lurk around every corner. Part of its charm is presentation: as you glide between trees, battle predators and take in the scenery, a narrator describes your every move, letting you effectively star in your own nature documentary.
This action-adventure gives you room to play at your own pace. Push through the main story or wander off the beaten path on side quests to uncover the world's hidden mysteries. Survival hinges on a fight-or-flight rhythm, where you hunt small prey, take on larger foes, and rely on stealth and agility to slip past apex predators without being noticed.
A standout touch lets you see the world through other creatures entirely, playing as beetles, lizards, crabs and more, all of them rare and tucked away for players to discover. Behind it is Breaking Walls, an independent Montreal studio founded by veterans of major AAA franchises such as Assassin's Creed, Prince of Persia and Far Cry, who spent five years crafting this indie simulation. On PC, it's a vivid, animal's-eye adventure through the wild.
