About ATOM RPG Trudograd

ATOM RPG Trudograd poster

ATOM RPG Trudograd is a stand-alone story expansion that continues the tale of ATOM RPG, and because it picks up threads from the original, playing the first game beforehand is recommended. This turn-based RPG unfolds in a post-apocalyptic Soviet Union and wears its influences proudly, drawing on classic cRPGs like early Fallout, Wasteland and the Baldur's Gate series.

The backdrop is bleak history. Twenty-two years ago, the USSR and the Western Bloc annihilated one another in a nuclear inferno, killing millions instantly, collapsing society, and dragging technology back to a near-medieval state. You play a member of ATOM, an organisation charged with safeguarding what remains of humanity in this shattered world.

Two years before the story begins, your rookie agent was dispatched into the Soviet Wastes and stumbled onto information about a new threat capable of finishing off humankind's survivors. In Trudograd, your mission takes you to a vast metropolis that somehow endured both nuclear devastation and social collapse. Somewhere inside it lies what may be humanity's final hope against a menace from beyond the stars. For PC players who favour deep, old-school role-playing, it's a rewarding continuation.
