Asterigos: Curse of the Stars unfolds in Aphes, a city-state steeped in magic and drawn from the aesthetics of ancient Rome and classical Greece. This action-adventure RPG sends you through misty bazaar streets, gloomy sewers, enigmatic outlying forests and crystal-lined chasms, each location balancing genuine beauty against real danger.
Combat is where the game encourages personal expression. You can swap between ranged and melee weapons on the fly, and the talent system lets you shape your style by choosing two of six distinct options: sword and shield, dual blades, spear, hammer, staff, or magic bracelets. Blast enemies from afar with a staff or crush them up close with a massive hammer, adapting as needed. Aphes is no place for the timid, fielding 60 different monsters and 22 unique bosses, each with its own battle mechanics.
Story sits at the centre of the journey. Every choice carries weight as you piece together the truth behind the city's curse through conversations, discovered documents, cinematics and heroine Hilda's illustrated diary. With over 100 collectibles and numerous side quests waiting, this PC RPG rewards players who linger over its many untold secrets.
