About Assassin’s Creed Shadows

Assassin's Creed Shadows is an action-adventure RPG that transports the series to Feudal Japan during a time of chaos. Its central hook is a pair of unlikely allies you can switch between: Naoe, a lethal shinobi Assassin, and Yasuke, a powerful, legendary samurai. As you play, you experience their individual stories, discover their shared destiny, and master two complementary playstyles while building your own shinobi league.

The open world is a major draw, spanning spectacular castle towns, bustling ports, peaceful shrines and war-ravaged landscapes, all shaped by unpredictable weather, changing seasons and reactive environments. Your two heroes ask for different approaches: Naoe relies on stealth to avoid detection and agility to confuse enemies, while Yasuke strikes with lethal precision and raw power, so how you tackle a situation depends on who you become.

Information is treated as a weapon in its own right. You travel the world building a network of spies to act as your eyes and ears, hunting down your next target and recruiting new allies with unique abilities along the way. You can also create a fully customizable hideout for your growing league, training your crew, crafting gear and shaping a place to call home on PC.
