About Assassin’s Creed® III

Assassin’s Creed® III poster

Assassin's Creed III carries the action-adventure series to the American Colonies of 1775, a time of civil unrest and political upheaval. You play a Native American Assassin fighting to protect his land and his people, and in doing so he helps ignite the flames of a young nation's revolution, revealing a version of the American Revolutionary War quite unlike the one found in history books.

As that Assassin, you eliminate enemies with a varied arsenal of guns, bows, tomahawks and more, moving from bustling city streets to chaotic battlefields. Along the way you take a central role in some of the era's most legendary events, including the Battle of Bunker Hill and the Great Fire of New York, experiencing the raw, often gruesome reality of the conflict firsthand.

The game marked a technical leap for the franchise with the debut of the Ubisoft-AnvilNext engine. That technology was built to push gaming forward through powerful graphics, lifelike animations, immersive combat and advanced physics, giving this chapter of the American Revolution a striking sense of scale and detail on PC.
