Arma Reforger is the latest entry in the long-running Arma series, powered by the new Enfusion engine and set during an authentic Cold War standoff. It hands you a versatile, fully moddable platform that aims to redefine the mil-sim genre, spread across two islands totaling 61 square kilometers that reward both careful soldiering and creative experimentation.
The setting is anchored by two distinct maps. Everon is a 51-square-kilometer mid-Atlantic island in the Malden archipelago, familiar to fans of Operation Flashpoint and rendered as a sweeping open world of pine and broadleaf forests, rivers, ponds, quiet towns and stark mountains ringed by pebble beaches. Alongside it lies Arland, a smaller 10-square-kilometer territory belonging to the microstate of Everon, positioned on a strategic Cold War faultline and known for a military airbase leased to the Soviet Union.
Gameplay splits between the Conflict multiplayer mode, where you fight realistic Cold War battles online as a US or Soviet soldier, and Game Master, a real-time editor for building your own scenarios where practically anything can happen. Blending action, FPS, simulation and strategy, it's an open, community-driven sandbox for PC.
