About 9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far

9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far poster

9-Bit Armies: A Bit Too Far dials the retro real-time strategy up a notch, arriving from Petroglyph, the RTS veterans behind the 8-Bit series, as a direct sequel. You rally military forces across a range of battlefields and carry out your plans over land, sea, and air, deploying airborne troops, blowing up bridges, and lining up superweapons in a burst of pixelated pyromania. Newcomers and seasoned commanders alike get a little extra fun out of the mix.

The game expands well beyond solo play. Team up online in co-op campaigns or clash in skirmishes that support up to eight players, and full Steam Workshop integration lets you download fresh maps and mods or upload your own creations to trade with friends and rivals.

This version brings notable additions. Co-op now supports two players tackling tough side-missions together for bonus rewards, a new Veterancy system lets you level up your army the more you build and destroy, and a completely rewritten AI ramps up the challenge for anyone hungry for a sterner test. As an indie strategy and simulation PC game, it wears its retro action heart proudly while giving you plenty of modern ways to reduce everything to burning bits and bytes.
