About 1348 Ex Voto

1348 Ex Voto poster

Set against the grim backdrop of late medieval Italy, 1348 Ex Voto puts you in the shoes of Aeta, a young knight-errant whose comfortable noble life is upended. Her quest is deeply personal: cross a country torn by strife to find and rescue Bianca, the person she holds dearest. This third-person action-adventure draws openly on genre classics and the old traditions of chivalric storytelling.

The 14th-century Italy you travel is a land in turmoil, where banditry, roaming mercenaries, and religious fanatics thrive as plague creeps through the countryside and pestilence unsettles the cities. From humble villages and looming castles to the green slopes of the Appennino and the ruins of ancient Rome, the world invites exploration, and poking through your surroundings turns up trinkets and treasures to collect.

Combat is the heart of the experience, built on cinematic sword fighting rooted in Historical European Martial Arts and captured by trained performance actors. You can shift between one and two-handed stances to outmaneuver foes, and skill books scattered across the journey unlock fresh combos, letting you tailor Aeta's swordplay with different weapon parts. It is an indie PC game as brutal as the era it depicts.
