Taonga progression priorities: what to focus on before another island

A conditional priority guide for a farming game, without an invented character tier list.

By PC Game Pilot·Reference·2 min·Оновлено 30 Oct 2026

Priority one: finish the requirement in front of you

This page is an editorial decision order, not a measured efficiency ranking. Taonga does not need a gacha-style character tier list. Start with the quest or unlock you deliberately chose, identify its missing requirement and decide whether today’s production can resolve it. A completed dependency is more valuable to that plan than a collection of unrelated starts.

Priority two: prepare the next visit

Once the current requirement is understood, prepare what will be useful when you return. Inspect the live recipe, ingredients and timing. Do not blindly copy a stockpile target from a different account stage. Keep a short note so the next login begins with a decision you have already made.

Priority three: advance one lasting project

The official support material documents continuing systems such as butterfly catching and botany. Choose one if its activities interest you. Their appeal is a direction for progression, not a promise of immediate profit. The right choice depends on the quests and materials you have already unlocked.

Priority four: evaluate the seasonal detour

Read an event’s actual availability and rewards before moving it above your existing project. Ask whether you can make enough visits and whether the reward is something you want. A deadline creates urgency; it does not prove that the event deserves all of your saved resources.

What can override this order?

A nearly completed quest, a personal collection goal or a session long enough for a timed activity can justify a different choice. The point is to name the reason. If a guide claims one building or island is always best, ask which account stage, objective and live rules support that statement.

No unsupported S-tier claims

We have not conducted a comprehensive live economy simulation or verified a current competitive meta. These priorities are transparent planning advice based on the documented structure. Use them to reduce indecision, then adjust them when the game presents better information. The best plan is one you understand well enough to change.
