War Thunder does have an official bonus-code system, run by Gaijin. There are two parts to it.
1. Bonus / promo codes
Gaijin occasionally issues codes — usually at events, streams or anniversaries — that grant decals, stickers, decorations and sometimes Golden Eagles, Silver Lions or premium days. You redeem them on your Gaijin account, not in the game client:
- Go to store.gaijin.net/activate.php (or use the "Redeem bonus code" option on your War Thunder / Gaijin profile).
- Log into the account linked to your game.
- Paste the code exactly — capitalisation matters — and click Activate.
2. The referral (invite-a-friend) system
From the in-game Community menu, "Invite a friend" gives you a personal referral link. A brand-new player who registers through it typically receives a bonus (commonly around 50 Golden Eagles), and you earn rewards as your friend progresses.
Why we don't list codes here
We only publish codes we can trace to an official source. Gaijin does not run standing public promo codes, and the many "War Thunder codes" listicles are third-party and usually expired or region-locked. Rather than mislead you, we point you to the official redemption page and Gaijin's own channels, where any genuine, time-limited codes are announced. If a verified official code is active, this page will say so.
