Ragnarok: The New World launches with eight playable classes. Six are the familiar Ragnarok Online base jobs, each advancing into a classic second job; two are standalone — the Gunslinger and the debut Druid.

  • Swordsman → Knight: the tanky frontline that anchors parties and guild fights while farming packs with AoE.
  • Mage → Wizard: elemental area damage and crowd control — the fastest leveller and most F2P-friendly PvE class.
  • Archer → Hunter: reliable ranged single-target damage with traps and low upkeep, ideal for safe solo farming.
  • Acolyte → Priest: the support backbone — healing, buffs and resurrection that group content depends on.
  • Thief → Assassin: high-burst melee built for PvP duels; gear-dependent and a later-game payoff.
  • Merchant → Blacksmith: the economy engine — vending and crafting for passive Zeny, plus late-game AoE.
  • Gunslinger (standalone): pistol-and-rifle burst that excels at early MVP hunting; SP-hungry and F2P-friendly.
  • Druid (new, standalone): a shapeshifter with three forms — melee werewolf, ranged bird-form and arcanist caster — with a high skill ceiling.

Thanks to flexible job-switching and free stat and skill resets, you can experiment with several classes on the way to finding your main.
