Everything a new Meta-Human needs to go from washing up in Dayton Wetlands to a self-sufficient base, without wasting your first season on rookie mistakes.

  • Start in the Manibus scenario on a PvE server; it's the beginner-friendly, chill co-op mode with no hostile players and server-wide quests like Prime Wars.
  • Complete the 'Eve of Evolution' tutorial early; it's also required before you can redeem any codes or claim many event rewards.
  • Manage four survival meters: Hunger, Hydration, Sanity, and (in Way of Winter) Temperature; keep cooked food and clean water stocked at all times.
  • Build your base near water and resource nodes; bases are movable, so don't over-invest in a bad location, and follow the Stronghold progression (Deadsville then Meyer's Market and beyond).
  • Unlock Memetics (now being renamed 'Techs') from the skill tree to gain crafting recipes, combat perks, and quality-of-life upgrades as you level.
  • Capture Deviants early; friendly ones like Butterfly's Emissary boost combat while others automate resource gathering and base tasks.
  • Understand seasonal wipes before you commit: progress resets each Scenario cycle, but gear and materials stored in Eternaland carry over permanently.
