MU: Dark Epoch vs Lineage W

Lineage W is NCSoft's 2021 flagship, a polished, siege-driven MMORPG with legendary deep PvP but also one of the most aggressively pay-to-win economies ever shipped, and it remains region-locked to Asia. MU: Dark Epoch is a globally available MU spin-off with lighter, more themepark-style content and open trading. The trade-off here is depth and polish versus accessibility and slightly less punishing spending.

The verdict

Lineage W is the deeper, more polished game with genuinely epic large-scale PvP, so it wins for hardcore players in Asia who can stomach extreme spending. MU: Dark Epoch is the more accessible choice worldwide, with friendlier trading and a less ruthless (though still heavy) cash model. Your pick largely comes down to region and how much pay-to-win you'll tolerate.
