The experience

A closer look at Project Entropy

The central decision in Project Entropy is how to assemble your fighting force. You recruit heroes, improve their skills and combine them with vehicles and weapons. A roster is only part of the picture: choosing what to equip and where to commit it connects character progression to the wider military campaign.

The alien frontier supplies both opposition and opportunities. PvE includes the Grod, while the regional multiplayer map puts alliances in competition for territory and resources. That gives a battle two different contexts: a chance to develop your forces, or a move in a larger conflict involving other commanders.

This is a social strategy game with an ongoing account, rather than a sequence of isolated mech duels. Planetary environments and collectible combat units give it its science-fiction identity, but cooperation and long-term development are just as central. Choose it for fleet composition and shared objectives, with a clear budget for optional purchases.

What you can do

Project Entropy - 22

Formation

Heroes, vehicles and weapons

Recruit a crew, develop hero skills and customize its military hardware. Tanks, aircraft and combat mechs give you several types of force to build around, rather than a single character to equip.

Project Entropy - 25

Territory

A regional alliance battlefield

Real-time multiplayer battles connect to control of territory and resources. Joining an alliance makes positioning and coordination part of the strategy alongside the strength of an individual formation.

Project Entropy - 1

Exploration

An alien campaign beyond PvP

PvE enemies include the Grod, and the setting spans sharply different planetary environments. There is room to develop a force against computer-controlled threats as well as rival commanders.

Getting started

Before your first session

  1. Choose a client and confirm your account

Start from the official website or the correct FunPlus Steam listing. If returning from mobile, confirm your login and existing commander before spending; account transfer between clients is not established by the sources checked.

  2. Give one formation a clear purpose

Read the skills of your available heroes and the properties of their vehicles and weapons. Build a coherent first force before spreading upgrades across every recruit. Use early PvE to learn what each part contributes.

  3. Find an alliance that fits your schedule

Ask when members coordinate territory battles and what participation they expect. A compatible group matters more than an impressive recruitment message when shared objectives become your reason to log in.

Is this for you?

A fit for players who enjoy collecting a sci-fi roster and developing it within an alliance strategy MMO. Less suitable if your priority is direct action combat or a finite solo campaign.

Things to consider

  • PvP and territorial competition involve other players; a stronger collection alone does not remove the need for coordination.
  • Free access includes optional purchases. Mobile storefronts disclose random-item purchases, so do not assume collection progress is entirely deterministic.
  • The official site's visible news archive contains old notices. Current mobile updates do not establish the Windows patch schedule or the condition of every server.

Good to know

Can I play Project Entropy on Windows without an emulator?

Yes. The official website provides a Windows launcher, and FunPlus International AG publishes Project Entropy on Steam. These are separate distribution choices for a game that also has mobile versions.

Is Project Entropy free to play?

Yes. Steam lists it as free to play with in-app purchases. Free entry is not a promise that every upgrade or collectible can be obtained immediately without spending.

Is this primarily a mech action game?

Its emphasis is strategy: heroes, military hardware, PvE and alliance competition on a regional map. Mechs are part of your forces alongside tanks and aircraft, rather than the whole experience.

Will my mobile account carry over to Steam or the launcher?

The checked sources do not establish the transfer procedure or account compatibility between those clients. Steam lists a third-party account requirement. Confirm your existing progress with FunPlus before creating a second account or buying anything.

Are the Steam minimums a recommendation to use Windows 7?

No. The publisher's requirements still name Windows 7 SP1, but the same listing warns that the Steam client supports Windows 10 and later. Treat the table as published minimums, not a current performance guarantee.
