Star Trek Fleet Command and Project Entropy are near-identical in genre: mobile-first MMORTS with base building, ship and hero collecting, alliances and a contested galaxy map. The real differences come down to licensed IP, monetisation intensity and maturity.

| Aspect | ENT | Star Trek Fleet Command | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core gameplay loop | Base building, Hero fleets and real-time alliance PvP over region control. | Base building, ship collecting, system control and alliance PvP — a very similar loop. | Tie |
| IP & setting | An original Kepler-452B sci-fi universe with no brand recognition yet. | The official Star Trek license with iconic ships, factions and characters. | Star Trek Fleet Command |
| Monetisation & generosity | IAP-heavy, but a newer and so-far less bloated pay economy. | Notoriously expensive, with deep pay-to-win ship and officer packs that pressure spending hard. | Project Entropy |
| Progression | Hero-driven RPG progression that feels fast in the early game. | Long, grind-heavy but well-tuned progression that is heavily gated behind paywalls. | Tie |
| Content & endgame | Limited content library that is still being built out. | Years of events, story arcs, and territory and Armada endgame systems. | Star Trek Fleet Command |
| Platform & performance | Available on mobile, PC and console. | Mobile plus an official PC client; polished but resource-heavy. | Tie |
| Community & longevity | Small, new and unproven playerbase. | Large, established community since 2018 with active, organised alliances. | Star Trek Fleet Command |

STFC is the safer, content-rich pick and the obvious choice for Star Trek fans or anyone wanting a proven live game, provided you can stomach its spending pressure. Project Entropy is the fresher, lighter alternative with its own universe and, for now, a less punishing wallet, but it clearly lacks STFC's content depth and track record.
