Nova Empire is one of the older mobile space-MMO templates that Project Entropy effectively builds on: fleet customisation, base building, sector control and alliance war. Project Entropy is the newer, better-presented take on the same well-worn formula.

| Aspect | ENT | Nova Empire | Edge |
|---|---|---|---|
| Core gameplay loop | Real-time alliance PvP with Hero fleets and region conquest. | Fleet building, base building, sector control and alliance war — the same core loop. | Tie |
| Presentation & graphics | Modern visuals with 3D mechs and current-gen mobile polish. | Solid HD graphics for its time, but a visibly aging 2017-era presentation. | Project Entropy |
| Ship & fleet customisation | Hero and RPG-flavoured fleet building rather than deep ship editing. | A deeper modular spaceship builder with weapon and armor slots to tune. | Nova Empire |
| Monetisation & pay-to-win | IAP and gacha driven, but on a newer and less entrenched economy. | Heavy pay-to-win where mega-alliances and whales routinely crush newcomers. | Project Entropy |
| New-player experience | Modern onboarding aimed at easing newcomers in. | Reviewers report new players being farmed by vastly stronger players and alliances. | Project Entropy |
| Content cadence & updates | An actively updated new title with a fresh roadmap. | Mature but slower update cadence from a smaller live team. | Project Entropy |
| Community & longevity | Small but growing, with unproven staying power. | An established niche community since 2017 that has been contracting. | Tie |

Nova Empire still appeals to players who love deep spaceship customisation and don't mind an older, whale-dominated ecosystem. For most people Project Entropy is the more modern, better-looking entry into the same formula, but as a new game its economy balance and long-term longevity remain to be proven.
