After Early Access, the free-to-play 1.0 arrives on PC — and the controversial paid Koen currency is gone.
Arena Breakout: Infinite left Early Access and hit its full 1.0 launch on 15 September 2025, free-to-play on PC via Steam and Epic. The headline change from beta: developer Morefun removed the paid Koen currency that had let players buy gear power — the single biggest pay-to-win complaint during testing.
It cemented the game as one of the most approachable ways into the extraction-shooter genre, pairing Tarkov-style depth with a cleaner UI and no entry fee.
