1. Who we are
PC Game Pilot ("we", "us") operates pcgamepilot.com, an independent PC-games information site. For any privacy question, contact us at contact@pcgamepilot.com. We are the data controller for the processing described here.
2. What we collect
We don't run user accounts and we don't ask you to submit personal data to browse the site. We do process:
- Usage & device data — pages viewed, referrer, approximate location, browser and device type, collected through analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4).
- Advertising data — identifiers used to measure and target campaigns, via the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google advertising tools.
- Technical logs — IP address and request metadata processed by our hosting/CDN provider (Cloudflare) to serve and secure the site.
3. Cookies & similar technologies
We use essential cookies (required to run the site) and, only with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can accept, refuse or change your choice at any time via our cookie banner. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
4. Legal bases
- Consent — for analytics and advertising cookies/pixels (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a); ePrivacy). Non-essential tags do not load before you consent.
- Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention and basic operation of the site (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
5. Who we share data with
We share data with the processors that power these features:
- Google (Google Analytics 4, Google Ads) — policies.google.com/privacy
- Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram Pixel & Ads) — facebook.com/privacy/policy
- Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, security) — cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
- Destination sites — when you click a "Play" or outbound link, the destination (a game's official site or store) may set its own cookies under its own policy.
6. International transfers
Some providers process data outside your country (e.g. the United States). Where required, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy framework.
7. Retention
Analytics and advertising data are retained per each provider's default and configurable periods (typically 2–14 months for analytics). Technical logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operation.
8. Affiliate links
Our "Play" buttons link directly to each game's official site or store and are not affiliate links. If we add affiliate or sponsored links, they'll be clearly marked rel="sponsored"; if you buy or sign up through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and they never change our editorial verdicts.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing; and you may withdraw cookie consent at any time. Exercise these by emailing contact@pcgamepilot.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
