World of Tanks: HEAT launches free-to-play across PC, console and cloud

Wargaming's tank hero-shooter goes live with 8 Agents, 15 vehicles, 8 maps and 4 PvP modes — with cross-play and cross-progression.

World of Tanks: HEAT launched on 26 May 2026 as a free-to-play title across PC (Steam and the Wargaming Game Center), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam Deck and NVIDIA GeForce NOW, with full cross-platform play and cross-progression. (Steam's store page displays a release date of 25 May, a common store/timezone artifact.)

The launch build shipped with 8 Agents, 15 vehicles, 8 maps and 4 PvP modes — 5v5 Hardpoint, Control and Kill Confirmed, plus 10v10 Conquest. Three Agents (Chopper, Kent and Hound) are free from day one, one for each of the game's three roles: Defender, Assault and Marksman.
