The official pirate guide describes access through gates in 4-5 and a level requirement. Check your route and supplies before travelling into the network.
Watch the environment
Pirate territory includes hazards and fog that can interfere with cloaking. Do not treat a cloaked ship as a substitute for understanding the path ahead.
