'Forest Shadows' update expands the Seelow Heights front
The July 2025 update added a forested Brandenburg area to Seelow Heights, with new missions, weapons and vehicles.
The "Forest Shadows" major update released on 2 July 2025, expanding the Seelow Heights setting with a new forested Brandenburg area and a set of "Wald" (forest) missions.
The update added several new weapons — including the AVT-40 and premium variants of the Thompson M1 and StG 44 — and five new vehicles spanning tank destroyers, aircraft and a premium Soviet motorcycle for the Rider class.
Forest Shadows is a good example of how Darkflow grows existing fronts, layering new terrain and equipment onto the game's late-war Eastern Front battles.
