Drakensang Online has four official hero classes. Dragonknight is the melee bruiser, Spellweaver is the elemental caster, Ranger is the hybrid archer, and Steam Mechanicus brings devices and ranged mechanical pressure.
For a first account, Dragonknight is forgiving because melee durability makes mistakes less punishing. Spellweaver is also strong if you prefer ranged combat and can kite. Ranger and Steam Mechanicus are worth trying once you know how positioning and cooldowns work.
