Merge Gardens organisation: protect valuable items and control the clutter

Use locks, the merge counter and harvesting settings before treating a paid tidy-up tool as essential.

Make valuable items hard to lose

Select an item and inspect its information before selling. The official safety guide documents a lock on the item information bar that prevents moving, selling or merging until unlocked. Use it on pieces reserved for a later merge. Turn on the merge counter so the group size is visible; the counter is an aid, not an automatic block on a three-merge.

Know the narrow undo window

A sale or deletion briefly displays an Item removed notification with Undo. Use it immediately if the action was wrong. That is different from reversing a merge: support states it cannot assist with accidental merges. Arrange valuable items apart while building a larger group so an accidental drag has fewer consequences.

Choose how wildlife harvest

The harvesting setting has Auto and Manual options. Manual stops independent harvesting and lets you direct creatures through double-tapping an item or dragging wildlife onto it. If your working area keeps filling with things unrelated to today’s objective, this is a useful setting to inspect before reorganising the entire garden.

Understand the Magnet purchase

The Magnet gathers matching eligible items and highlights possible merges. It is a premium timed feature: activation begins immediately and its timer continues while you are away. Locked and bubbled items are excluded. Settings can let it use empty spaces only or move nearby objects. Consider the current offer only if the saved organising effort is something you actually value; a timed convenience tool does not replace deciding which chain matters.

Leave a deliberate working area

Our recommendation is to keep one free patch for the active quest and another for incoming rewards. Before a large merge, identify the next item and the space it will occupy. A few intentional placements are easier to maintain than a whole-board rearrangement every time you return.
