Start through the official service
Open the official website and follow its current play or desktop-client instructions. The Steam edition is another PC entry point, but do not assume every login route opens an existing character. Returning Facebook players should read the publisher’s September 2026 migration notice before making a new account. Record your kingdom and character details so that returning to the same progress is straightforward.
Give the city one next objective
Follow the opening instructions, then inspect the requirements of the next castle upgrade. Make a short list of the buildings, research or resources it needs instead of starting unrelated projects because several buttons are available. Keep construction and research decisions tied to the bottleneck you can name. Save scarce speed-ups until you understand which task they are solving.
Learn commander combat separately
Weirwood provides a place to understand a squad’s skills and positioning. Read the current ability descriptions and distinguish an army bonus from a skill used in commander battles. If an encounter fails, identify whether the issue is survival, targeting or insufficient development. Changing all three at once makes the next attempt harder to interpret.
Find a suitable alliance
Ask when the group normally plays, how it communicates event instructions and whether it accepts accounts at your stage. A useful first alliance is one whose everyday activities you can actually attend. Read its gathering and conflict rules before moving troops on the world map; a convenient resource node may still sit inside somebody else’s agreed routine.
End the session with a return plan
Check the live protection and troop-safety interfaces before leaving the game. Note the next city requirement and the squad you intend to improve. You should finish with a clearer account, not a growing list of purchases. The official beginner reference is dated 2022, so its precise unlock levels, numbers and interface screenshots are historical examples; use your live client for current conditions.
